L’une des guitares les plus iconiques, la Gibson ES175 à simple micro a fait ses débuts en 1949 avec un micro P-90 au niveau du manche, puis a été équipée d’un tout nouveau micro humbucker en 1957. En 1952, la ES175D (pour double micro) est apparue, avec un deuxième micro au niveau du chevalet.

Ces guitares ont immédiatement connu un grand succès auprès des musiciens professionnels et des amateurs sérieux dans de nombreux genres musicaux, notamment le jazz, la pop et la country. L’ES-175 est devenue la référence pour les jazzmen dès son lancement et jusqu’à sa récente disparition.

Le modèle ES175 à simple micro, comme l’ES-175D, utilise une construction en érable laminé pour réduire le larsen. Le manche est en acajou avec une touche en palissandre avec binding et le chevalet flottant est également en palissandre.

Ce modèle Gibson ES175 à simple micro a été fabriqué en 1966 dans l’usine historique de Kalamazoo, dans le Michigan, et est dans un excellent état. Entièrement d’origine, elle présente une très belle patine naturelle avec très peu d’éclats (et de petite taille). A noter, un léger crack au niveau de la prise jack.

Cette guitare est livrée dans un étui  Gibson récent non d’origine.

1966 GIBSON ES-175

One of the most iconic Gibson guitars, the single-pickup  ES175 made its debut in 1949 with a P-90 pickup at the neck, then was equipped with a brand new humbucker pickup in 1957. In 1952, the ES175D (for double pickup) appeared, with a second pickup at the bridge.

These guitars were immediately popular with professional musicians and serious amateurs in many musical genres, including jazz, pop, and country. The ES-175 became the benchmark for jazz musicians from its launch until its recent discontinuation.

The single-pickup ES175 model, like the ES-175D, uses a laminated maple construction to reduce feedback. The neck is mahogany with a bound rosewood fingerboard, and the floating bridge is also rosewood.

This single-pickup Gibson ES175 model was manufactured in 1966 at the historic factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and is in excellent condition. Completely original, it has a beautiful natural patina with very few (and small) chips. Note a slight crack near the jack socket.

This guitar comes in a recent Gibson case (not original).
