FENDER Stratocaster 1964 Sunburst
Une très belle stratocaster série L Sunburst de 1964 de plus en plus rare à la vente ces derniers temps.
La guitare est en très bon état.
Le vernis sunburst est d’origine.
La touche en Palissandre de Rio avec ses “Clay Dots”, a été refretté.
Le sélecteur n’est pas d’origine et à été changé par un 5 positions.
Tout le reste est d’origine, les trois micros “grey bottom” ainsi que les potentiomètres datés de la 20ème semaine de 1964 , le manche est tamponné Octobre 64.
On remarque que la défonce du micro bridge à été poncée et un tout petit peu élargie, certainement afin de permettre à un micro
de remplacement type “stacked” d’y être installé à un moment.
Un nom est inscrit sous le “Tremolo Cover”, “Vinnie shanana 71”, il se pourrait que la guitare est appartenue à Vincent “Vinnie” Taylor le guitariste
du groupe SHA NA NA mais nous n’en n’avons pas la preuve….

1964 FENDER Stratocaster Sunburst
A very nice 1964 Sunburst L-Serial Stratocaster!
The guitar is in very good condition.
Original sunburst finish.
The Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with its “Clay Dots” has been refretted.
The switch is not original and has been changed for a 5-position.
Everything else is original, including the 3 “grey bottom” pickups and potentiometers (20th week of 1964), and the neck is stamped October 64.
Note that the bridge pickup’s routing has been sanded and slightly enlarged, certainly to allow a stacked replacement pickup to fit at some point.
A name is written under the back plate”, “Vinnie shanana 71”, the guitar could have belonged to Vincent “Vinnie” Taylor, guitarist
of the band SHA NA NA, but we have no proof of this….
